Narrative: Hanging out last week I happened to capture these beautiful scenes during the event. It was so reflective of the life and vibrance of our sensational city. The buildings, the boats, the water, and the glorious sky. The cumulous clouds looked so soft. Downy like in their appearance. After my usual process I was feeling a little bit creative so I added a....... multihued band of color. I thought it added some character to an already beautiful scene. To my eyes I believe they came out pretty well, but you guys can be the judge. But for me, it is a wonderful memory of a glorious time we had in the city we love.

Narrative: 90+ degree weather couldn't slow down the crowds as they gathered for this Thursday's dynamic concert at the pier. Up this week was the Kinsman Dazz Band. A tribute band honoring the Cleveland based funk group, formed by Bobby Harris in the late '70s. Some notable hits like "Let it Whip" , "Swoop (I'm Yours)", "Heartbeat" and several others. This was probably the largest tribute band this year as there were dancers, guitarist, keyboardist, vocalists, and of course a drummer. Once I thought I saw everyone, I felt there were performers behind others that I didn't see before. From the jump they had the crowd moving to the classics that many have come to love. As an 80's baby some of them were familiar, but even the songs that weren't so familiar will still a joy to listen to. They functioned together as a unit as they inspired the crowd to get out of their seats and start grooving to the funky tunes. There were quite a few people up front for numerous songs. So much so I had to relocate a few times to get the best angles. Funky tunes, and smiling faces led to a Dazzling evening at the Jackson Street Pier.

Narrative: No matter how many times I see it, this glorious building always impresses me. Its brick and mortar construction add so much character and personality to an already historic city. While out one day I decided to pay it a visit and it did not disappoint. The sun behind it just add some beautiful touches to an already impressive scene. The blue sky just compliments the color and hues of the building so well, while the color of the stained class is just so pleasing to look at. Another great find in a beautiful city.

Narrative: There is something fascinating watching the boats as the move along the waters. It reminds me of the sailors traveling in the 14th century as they were in search of treasure, or finding new lands as they sailed across the ocean blue. While out last week I happened to capture this boat making its travels along our wonderful Lake Erie. Of course "SOL" was out providing us with those glorious citrus colored solar rays we have come to love. And the cirrus clouds cover over the blue skies created a such a beautiful scene. Not sure who those Cygnus boat enthusiasts were, but hopefully they enjoyed their evening on the lake, and created some memories.

Narrative: Weekly trips to downtown always produce some excitement. This week was Invincible! A tribute band dedicated to Pat Benatar. You may recognize some of their songs like, "Heartbreaker", "Hell is for children", & "Hit me with your best shot". They even played a few homages like "Separate ways" by journey. Immediately I could see the crowd vibing to the music. All of them were quite talented. The lead vocalist had such spirit and energy as she showcased all her groovy moves during the performance. The keyboardist and vocalist was stunning as she was talented as she performed with the perfect combination of feminine allure and eccentric play with the keys. The accompanying guitarists were equally talented sharing the load of leading songs and rizzing the crowd with their dazzling guitar play. Finally, the drummer kept them all in line with an awesome combination of kick drum thumps and snare slams. All in all another stellar night in Sandusky Ohio.

Narrative: Each time I along the lakes edge I always have a fascination with boats. Heading out onto the lake during sunset has to be a surreal experience. While the prospect of seemingly endless water may be an anxiety inducing experience for some, the sheer beauty is simply splendid. Your favorite snacks, and entertainment present while you and your loved ones sway in unison with the waves. The sounds of the water lapping underneath your boat as you laugh and enjoy the simple times. The sail flapping in the wind as you travel to your next destination & enjoy the final glimpse of a gorgeous sunset. Sailing the open water of Lake Erie is for sure a boating enthusiasts delight.

Narrative: Hard to believe the 4th was a week and a half ago already. It reminds you of how fast time flies. As we celebrate the perennial tradition we typically just go through the motions. But does it really soak in? Do we savor the moments? Who we met? What we said? Do we remember the hugs, & smiles? Remembering the delayed "pop" sound from the fireworks as the children root in the distance. As our memories occasionally fade, it's nice to have a couple keepsakes and relive our memories on the lake.

Narrative: It's late in the evening and you notice the sun has already set. Heading downtown you pull up to your favorite park. After finding a parking spot you step out the vehicle. You grab the camera of choice and begin walking down the concrete strip heading to a familiar park lamp. It's simple yet elegant. It's steel/aluminum construction is elongated with a bright light at its summit. 4 large mini boulders are placed at its base. Each boulder is parallel of one another with several smooth stones beneath them. It's light a very vibrant white. It's quite luminous & its radiance pierces the darkness like a star in the night sky. WIth the perfect balance of highlights and shadows the image gives you a sense of calm. You raise your camera and take your shot. After reviewing the image, and giving a quiet nod, you realize your job is done here.
