"Cold Repository” {Wondrous Winter Artistry} (Episode 16)

Narrative:
Begin Scene: Even a cold season can't subdue the aesthetic beauty of this beautiful museum. Its textured exterior and cozy interior has the perfect combination to keep its historic allure In the mid-day the sun just shines perfectly upon its front face. I love the shadows cast upon the side of the building and of course the seasonal decor certainly helps. With it's brilliant aesthetic, and historic presence, this cold historic repository is one of the amazing finds in the city of Sandusky.

"Noble Ritter” {Wondrous Winter Artistry} (Episode 15)

Narrative:
With its gold color admidst the night sky the Ritter Public Library in downtown Vermilion is quite the looker. As I approached it on a very cold winter day the luster of the building was so profound. With the street lamp shining down upon it the building looked so majestic and stunning. After a little research, my understanding is the name "Ritter" in German is a title of nobility. And tonight it certainly looked that way. If you are in the area, be sure to give it a look.

Been a while since I since I came to Vermilion. It was as cold as I remembered the last time. I came across this delightful tree. Beautiful, tall, and just radiated positive vibes. The star at the to was simply glroious. As I walked around, I noticed the moon just looked beautiful. So I did what I could to highlight the beautiful of both. Great to see all the cities in the area joining in the festive fun.

"Pyrotechnic Plaza!!” {Wondrous Winter Artistry} (Episode 11)
Location: Downtown, Sandusky, Oh

[NARRATIVE]
BEGIN Scene: It's almost time for some evening fireworks downtown in Sandusky. Taking your walk down Columbus Avenue You can feel there is excitement in the air. The snow is coming down a bit heavier now. The snow begins to thicken as you take your steps momentarily pausing under the State theater overhang to gather your thoughts. Some of the local are already beginning to park along the side of the road as they prepare for the memories to come. As you cross the street you notice there are families posing by the tree , practicing their shots for when the fireworks hit. 5 minutes left......time to get in your spot. Where is that exactly? What directions are they coming from? The weather is not great for flying, do you wanna risk it? And in the midst of all the indecisiveness you hear the first *POP* in the distance, the sky lights up and the illuminations disappear just as soon as they came. And with that your instincts kick in. From place to place, camera to camera all to gather the ideal shots. And just like that .....it's' over. Momentary silence followed by hoorays... cheers...car horns and the laughter of children. And you realize you were blessed to see another year in one of the finest cities this side of Lake Erie. Happy New Year to all and here’s to our best year yet.

"A joyous 1st Night in Sandusky!” {Wondrous Winter Artistry} (Episode 10)

[NARRATIVE]

BEGIN Scene: The coldest days always seem like the most special. And December 31st, 2025 was no exception. From the outset I remember getting into the car scraping all of the half frozen ice off my windshield before I could be on my way. Admittedly, the cold deterred me from getting fully immersed in the experience but nonetheless I could tell this night would be special. The event of the evening was "First Night Sandusky". A special celebration of the New Year featuring live performances, Dj's, food trucks and all sorts of activities for the local to enjoy. I even heard them promoting it on the radio. As I parked and eagerly awaited the smiling faces from all the Sandusky natives from the fireworks I couldn't help but feel the excitement myself. I wasn't sure if we would be able to experience all the pyrotechnics due to the oncoming snow, but the good folks from the City of Sandusky made their best efforts to bring us a good show. And that they did. Happy New Year everyone, and God bless.

"Millennial Mist” {Wondrous Winter Artistry} (Episode 9)

[NARRATIVE]
BEGIN Scene: Surprisingly warm weather this weekend always puts the august babies like myself in a good mood. So on a casual Sunday, a large amount of invisible water v***r cooled and condensed to visible ice crystal suspended near Lake Erie. The result was a delightful view that kept all the Sandusky natives entranced with its beauty. Driving down downtown and as far as the eye could see was the gorgeous array of grays and hazy blues which provoked many people to stop and admire the Eternal Artist's work. For me I was entranced by one of the world's fastest steel coasters immersed in the mist. Like its name, the Millenium was a visual force which showcased the awesome beauty of this special day.

"Slushy Sandusky Bay” {Wondrous Winter Artistry} (Episode 8)
Location: Downtown, Sandusky, Oh

[Narrative]
{BEGIN Scene} Before I took a trip out of town I stopped by the pier. This time it was loosely populated. After parking I stepped out. My jacket was still open and I could feel the frigid winds pierce my long sleeve sweater. I walked slowly towards the east corner. I looked over towards the Norfolk Southern Coal Docks and watched a large school of gulls descend and land on a still frozen patch of ice. Armed with my camera in hand, I could feel the cold chill my fingers. I decided I better get to work. At the peirs edge I glanced over below where there were solid blocks of ice mixed amongst the half frozen lake. As I briefly walked along the piers edge I gave occasional smiles to all the Sandusky natives warming themselves in their cars , probably wondering what I was doing in the cold. The lake effect was starting to set in, so I zipped my coat and took a seat on the chilly white swing. The view was sublime. I had to get a shot of this. I placed my eye up to the view finder as my left hand rotated the lens counter clockwise to give me the ideal angle. I crouched a bit to and waited for the lens to stabilize my shot. I could feel the frostbite begin to set on my pointer finger as it rested on the capture button. A gentle press and my visual treasure(s) were saved safely stored as a small data file on a portable memory device. After I retreated to my car to rewarm my hands, I couldn't help but to thank the Eternal Artist for his grace, and his never ending array of bountiful visual treasure. {END Scene}
