Dear Friends,
We recently lost a friend of the studio. Kimball F Chambers recently passed. He had been in ill health for quite some time, but was able to visit The Neutral Zone several years ago. The epitome of what a Trek fan is, his visit was both emotional and joyous.
He had been invited to be in a fan film, but his health prevented it.
His son Stephen Chambers wrote with the following: "Star Trek meant a great deal to him throughout his life. It carried him through many difficult times, and one of the highlights of his life was a visit to the Neutral Zone Studios, where meeting Vic and receiving a personal tour made an unforgettable impression on him and on our family. As we prepare for his celebration of life, I would love to honor him with a Star Trek–themed farewell. In particular, it would mean so much to me if anyone might be able to assist with a Star Trek–inspired tribute for the service, and/or point me in the right direction to obtain (or have made) a high-quality, authentic Admiral Kirk Wrath of Khan–era uniform. My father’s Celebration of Life will be held on January 31 in Lumberton, North Carolina, at Hyde Park Baptist Church.
"Thank you sincerely for taking the time to read this, and for any guidance or help you may be able to offer. It would mean more than I can express to honor my father in a way that reflects something he loved so deeply.
Warm regards,
Stephen Chambers"
Perhaps we can make it so...
