On Saturday December 13th at 2pm, just about 2 weeks away, the Sandwich Glass Museum will be screening a film by Amy C. Davies, "The Provincetown Print". A documentary produced by the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, about a small group of expatriate artists returned to the United States at the beginning of WWI and settled in the artist community of Provincetown, Massachusetts. Together, they developed the colorful white line printmaking process that is still practiced today.

Director Amy Davies, PAAM CEO and Curator Chris McCarthy and Artist Bill Evaul will be in attendance and available for Q & A after the film.

Movie admission is included in the price of admission to the Museum. For current admission rates, please consult https://sandwichglassmuseum.org/pages/plan-your-visit

Today's Glass Fusing Class sold out! Everyone had a wonderful time. There really is something deeply satisfying about making your own art, particularly in an unfamiliar medium.
And if you tried to sign up but were shut out, not to worry! We do plan to offer more classes. We are still pinning down the dates of the next classe, so please keep an eye on Facebook for updates. We're working with the engaging and talented Kim Savoie to find times that work for both her schedule and ours, so once we know more, we will be sharing it with you.

Last Friday we were so privileged to welcome Yukimi Matsumoto, glass artist extraordinaire, as the special guest speaker and artist at our "Women in Glassmaking History" event. Olivia's keynote address gave the audience a fascinating insight into the evolution over the past 200 years of women's roles in glassmaking. Thank you, Yukimi and Olivia, and thank you to our loyal supporters who came to enjoy this very educational and engaging evening.

And if you enjoyed Yukimi's talk you will enjoy watching this video interview of Yukimi, "Glass Works: Yukimi Matsumoto – A Journey in Glassblowing", produced by Sandwich Community TV: https://youtu.be/OU93dMqUw8I?si=OJMDTVdD0eW4ak_y
