Selling during the winter might not get the same buzz as the spring, but it quietly gives sellers an edge most people don’t know about.

History shows the number of homes for sale usually dips this time of year. And that means one big thing for you: less competition from other sellers.

Fewer homes available = more eyes on yours.

If you’ve been considering a move, listing before the spring surge could put your house in a much better position.

Curious what selling this winter could look like? Send me a message and let’s talk it through.

Why Selling Your House This Winter Gives You an Edge

Winter might not get the same buzz as spring, but that’s exactly why it works in your favor. Less competition from other sellers, more motivated buyers, and a chance for your house to truly stand out.

If you’re thinking about selling, this season can give you a real advantage. Let’s connect and talk through what listing now could look like for you.

Spring gets all the attention, but it’s not always the best time to sell a house. Yes, more buyers show up, but so do a lot of other sellers.

Despite what you may be hearing in the headlines, experts agree home prices are still projected to rise overall in 2025 – just at a slower pace than we’ve seen recently.

On average, forecasters say it’ll be about a 1.5-2% increase nationwide this year.

While some markets are seeing prices level off or dip slightly right now, a dramatic drop across the board isn’t expected. Prices may even be what some would argue as closer to flat by the end of this year.

But context matters, and what you should always keep in mind is, nationally, prices are up 55% compared to just 5 years ago. So, some slight declines don’t drastically change the game.

But every market is different. So, let’s talk about what prices are doing in our area and what that means for your plans.

Knowing what’s ahead for the rest of the year is key to your success, whether you’re planning to buy, sell, or just stay informed. And that’s why you need an expert who will keep sharing these market updates with you.

So, what do the latest forecasts show? Mortgage rates will likely settle in the mid-6s for the rest of 2025. And that’s not terribly different from where we are now. So, don’t expect a big drop in rates.

But, keeping an eye on factors like inflation that can influence where mortgage rates move is key. And that’s why you have a pro on your side.

If your plans are changing, don’t wait on a rate that may not come. Let’s have a conversation, so you can see what’s possible in today’s market.

People are going to talk about the housing market when they get together this holiday season. And you’re going to hear a lot of different opinions.

Make sure you’re getting your information from a true expert. Here are the real answers to the top 3 questions that may be on your mind:

“Will I be able to find a home if I want to move?”
Yes, there are more homes for sale now than there have been in years, giving buyers more options and sellers more places to go.

“Should I wait for prices to come down?”
Experts aren’t projecting a big decline. While prices will always vary by area, nationally they’re expected to keep rising for at least the next 5 years.

“Will I ever be able to afford a house?”
Affordability is slowly improving as mortgage rates ease and price growth cools, making monthly payments a bit more manageable than they were even just a few months ago.

Clear answers = confident decisions

How low will mortgage rates go? Here's what the experts are saying in their latest forecasts.

While no one is calling for a big drop, experts think there will be slow improvement over the next year.

But it won’t be a straight line down. You’ll want to brace for some bumps along the road as new economic data comes out.

And here's what you need to remember. We don't have to see a big drop for you to feel the difference. Any downward movement should help your bottom line.

If you want to see a rough ballpark of what your future monthly payment could look like as rates ease, DM me.
