West Jordan city leaders, working with Utah NGO forPeace, hosted municipal officials from Novovorontsovka, Ukraine last month. 🇺🇦 The delegation learned about local government, public works, and parks to support rebuilding efforts, and West Jordan signed a non-binding agreement to foster collaboration. The delegates toured cities with hopes of helping their own communities to progress and develop and not just survive despite war.

Sandy City Council considered new rules to cap donations at $2,500 and require full donor disclosure. Councilmember Aaron Dekeyzer framed it as a step toward transparency, but some councilmembers argued it could favor wealthy candidates and create loopholes. Discussions on the proposals will continue in coming meetings.

If passed, campaign contributions in Sandy municipal elections would be capped at $2,500, and donors would be required to provide a financial disclosure statement.

What started as a small, informal mountain run has grown into a major fundraiser for clean air in Utah.

White City residents chose their first mayor by vote this fall, electing Allan Perry. 🏛️ Perry’s early focus includes improving public engagement, traffic safety, and community identity, alongside projects like completing the Big Bear Park canal trail, enhancing sidewalks, and encouraging home-based businesses.

Lifelong resident Allan Perry will lead White City, bringing in personal connection and decades of local experience to the city’s top job.

📢Public hearing tonight at 6pm!🔊District Committee to consider possible elementary merges after the Canyons School District unanimously approved closing Bella Vista Elementary School with students moving to Ridgecrest Elementary in 2026–27. Voices will be heard at Granite Elementary School.🚨

Unanimous vote to consolidate comes as enrollment drops; new boundaries also shift hundreds of families for 2026-27.
