Wow, pretty interesting! 🍦

UPDATE: it has been brought to our attention that the photo that was originally attached to this post was not the Sanford location.

DID YOU KNOW?.........

Still in its original building, our DQ may be the first, (some say the 3rd), Dairy Queen in the State of Florida.

Opened in 1953, it has served its "soft-served" treats to our town ever since. (they can't legally say ice cream... because it doesn't contain at least 10% milk fat)

Another little secret that few people know about, is that many years ago when the businesses old sign was replaced, instead of scrapping it, it was secured to the rooftop so planes landing at the airport could spot this Sanford icon.

Feel free to show any old memories of this location that you may still have.
