Yesterday we lost a friend, a brother , and DJ.
DJ Marc One from Funk Fellas Radio passed away. We are still in shock by this news. I found out today and it’s truly unbelievable. Yesterday we spoke with him and he was in great spirits. We were talking about the Arizona DJ Gigs , old times, and his plan for coming back out to California for some DJ Nights.
I have known Marcus since 1992. We played at a spot and we instantly became friends. Then we started doing club nights together and we became family.
Being a DJ and music was his love and life. His father was a DJ and his brother was well known DJ Fatbox.
He was a friend who never let us down. He is going to truly be missed. One of the fondest memories I have with him was when we would DJ at the same time and go off each other’s vibe. He would play a song and I would mix into his song and so on. It was truly the best memory. He came into Funk Fellas Radio in 2015 just a few months after is start. He didn’t hesitate to say yes. He represented Funk Fellas in Arizona to the fullest.
I love you brother you will always be missed and never forgotten.
