Authentic candor and loads of dog kisses is what you get with Jesse, head winemaker and co-founder of and our latest interviewee!

Jesse makes wines that represent Santa Barbara County’s coastline beautifully. He’s a true waterman with a ton of great stories revolving around the central coast. They’re opening a tasting room soon, so keep an eye out for that and you can go in a hear them firsthand!

Are you participating (maybe surviving?) in dry January? One of the wine trends we looked at from 2023 was the role less drinking in general and generational adoption of wine has played in younger generations. And folks the data isn’t great.

The last decade has seen a consistent decline in younger generations picking up the slack of their parents wine drinking habits. While some of this may be healthy, we can’t help but wonder if the decline continues what may be at stake for smaller producers. So, if you are going dry this January think about hopping into your local wine shop or visiting a new tasting room come February. Your local winemaker will thank you.
