The Holidays begin with Santa Barbara’s second Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony!

Locals and visitors of all ages gathered to witness the lighting of the 36 foot tree and to celebrate the beginning of this Holiday Season. Santa was in attendance for photos, DJ Darla Bea provided festive music for the dancers, and Santa Barbara’s own Holiday Prince and Fairy raised their wands to help light the tree.

Happy Halloween and SAFE Trick or Treating from The Resource and SBCC Athletics Annual Trunk or Treat👻🎃

Neighbors came out in force to celebrate Halloween festivities with SBCC Athletes and The Resource. Board president Jonathan Abboud, Vice President Anna Everett, and Media Mogul Seth Geiger headed the judging for the Athletes cars and costume contest; and Forbidden Fruit graced us with their reggae music.

The Vanessa Isaac Dance Company with Artistic Director and local SB Choreographer Vanessa Agle Isaac, Artistic Director and local choreographer Vanessa Agle Isaac, has been selected for the opportunity to open for Les Ballet de Monte-Carlo in Paris before the big show at midnight CET. Tonight, on July 8 and 9, 2023, the entire Casino District and its surroundings will be transformed into a gigantic open-air stage for the second edition of F(Ê)AITES DE LA DANSE.

The Santa Barbara Police Department anonymous Gun Buyback resulted in 78 Long Guns and 59 Handguns being turned in for a total of 137 guns taken off the street. SBPD gave out $100 gift cards in exchange for turning in your gun until the gift cards ran out. SBPD did run out of gift cards which means we will need to raise more money next year for this important cause. Gun Buybacks help remove unwanted guns from our community, and reduce the risk of homicide, su***de, and deadly accidents. For more info about gun violence visit our website at the link in bio.
