In the first episode of this exciting three-part series, hosts Melanie Ziment and Emily Kocis interview the Nexus and KCSB journalists who studied just how much the UCSB community has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. This episode opens with Asumi Shuda and Jennifer Yoshikoshi discussing their segment, “Human Struggle.” Tune in to hear firsthand accounts of how mental health and work have changed during the pandemic!

Hello there! I’m Toni, a second year English and PBS double major with a penchant for unnecessarily using the thesaurus. When I’m not getting lost on hikes or crying over glitchy audio software, I also serve as the Assistant Opinion Editor, part-time Ikea furniture constructor, and full-time bagel lover. Having joined HOTP halfway through last season, I’m so excited to continue working with such a passionate, dynamic team!
