When travelers dream of the Italian Riviera, their minds often drift to Portofino’s pastel charm or the glitter of Monte Carlo. Yet just beyond lies Sanremo, the storied City of Flowers, where elegance lingers in the sea breeze and the Belle Époque still whispers through palm-lined promenades.

In my latest story for the Montecito Journal, I wandered through this luminous corner of Liguria, staying at the Royal Hotel San Remo, a grand hotel shimmering with Riviera romance. From the vineyards of nearby Dolceacqua to the artistry of Bussana Vecchia, Sanremo unfolds as a destination steeped in sunlight, wine, and wonder.
