In Christian Jacob, the tradition of the jazz piano virtuoso lives on! The New York Times has described Christian’s performances as: “phenomenal” and “masterful.” The multi-Grammy nominated pianist and arranger has had the pleasure of a diverse musical life. Beginning life as a classical music child prodigy and then branching out into the world of modern jazz, Broadway with Betty Buckley, Brazilian jazz with Flora Purim, and Big Band with Maynard Ferguson. Christian also scored two major motion pictures for director Clint Eastwood, “Sully” and “The 15:17 to Paris” and performed on over fifty recordings as either leader or sideman. Early honors include the Oscar Peterson Jazz Masters Award and winner of the Great American Jazz Piano Competition. This performance will be a dedication to solo piano. Keyboard Magazine: “Christian sounds like Bill Evans meets Keith Jarrett meets Maurice Ravel.”
With this in mind, on December 10, 2022 Christian will perform and record live in studio at Santa Barbara Sound Design with engineer/producer Dom Camardella.
