Food Assistance Information
The federal government shutdown is affecting LA County communities including the approximate 980,000 households who depend on CalFresh to put food on the table.

Funding for CalFresh is expected to lapse beginning Nov. 1, 2025 if the federal shutdown continues. If you or your community need food assistance you can visit LAFoodBank.org/findfood or call 211 for help.

In response, LA County is working to increase capacity for food banks, expand food donation sites, stretch existing County support for vulnerable populations, and advocate for additional philanthropic funding.
