Memories of Budapest 🥰 Sitting at home and finding the silver lining during this crazy time. Sketching during my travels has always been my happy place. This sketch in particular is an extra special memory for me because this photo is all I have of it. As I was sketching, four Italian college kids asked me if they could buy my drawing. At first I thought they were joking, but then they sat next to me while I finished this sketch. I ripped out this page from my sketchbook in exchange for $10! I’d like to think this priceless Ann Dang original is hanging in a nice Italian cottage somewhere and bringing someone else joy 🤗 And hoping those college kids are safe… I hope everyone is staying safe. I’ll be posting a lot more latergrams from this Europe trip, as I sit at home practicing social distancing... and reminiscing about my travels 🙃💕 xx
UPDATE: after posting this, the college kid that has the sketch DM me and sent me a photo of it! It’s framed in a nice house with a garden in Rome ☺️ And he’s safe! Amid all the chaos, this brought me so much joy. Connecting with someone on the other side of the world, as we’re all going through this together ❤️
