Cheers! to JIM ROME! His young radio career started out on my team at KTMS radio in the 1980's in Santa Barbara and the rest is history. He is now in the RADIO HALL OF FAME. He was a news ju**ie turned cutting edge sports talk show legend and once was a foot-on-the-dash and one on the gas traffic reporter in Santa Barbara on Highway 101. A graduate of UC Santa Barbara that's never lost his Gaucho spirit. Jim - the best to you and let the good times roll!
In the induction they wrote: Jim Rome is one of the leading opinion-makers of his generation. Best known for his aggressive, informed, rapid-fire dialogue, Rome has established himself as the top choice of athletes and fans for sports news and commentary beyond the scoreboard.
