Sena Woodall has aspired to be an executive leader in healthcare since joining Santa Barbara-based VNA Health in 2018.

“This trajectory of leadership is what I’ve been on,” she told the Business Times.

“It’s something I’ve worked towards since I first became a hospice nurse,” Woodall said.

Jason VanWees, Teledyne Technologies’ Vice Chairman, announced that he will be retiring from his position on Feb. 1, 2027, at age 55.

VanWees joined Teledyne before the company’s spin-off in 1999 and was named vice chairman in 2021. He spoke at a Ventech event in Santa Barbara in 2023, detailing Teledyne’s legacy as well as its M&A strategy.

Goleta-based Aeluma, a semiconductor company, announced its results for the fourth quarter on Sept. 16.

Aeluma’s fourth-quarter revenue was $600,000, down from $1.3 million in the same quarter a year ago. The company also suffered a net loss of $4 million, or 22 cents per share, compared to a net loss of $900,000 in the same quarter a year ago.
