Rafael Louzán (RFEF president): "Florentino Perez clearly states that he feels disadvantaged when it comes to refereeing. I told him, 'Okay, I just arrived, let's talk it out,' but Florentino keeps insisting on the subject. From time to time, he brings up the Negreira case, and tells me, 'Resolve the Negreira case first,' and I told him you should do it but he replied, 'No, no... you have to do it.'
Perez has been very persistent about this refereeing issue. Every now and then, he tells me that we need to fix the referee situation because it has HARMED Real Madrid and that they have lost many titles because of the referees.
I told him, 'Well, I don't know if that's... Look, I believe in the referees' work.'”
