So I got this stove off of Facebook marketplace for $300. I intended to use it as a functional stove, but after looking it up to find replacement parts, I've come to figure out it was actually a pretty high end stove with nickel and brass detailing. You don't notice it as much in person because the person I bought it from tried to make it look rustic and worn and painted it.... But in the pictures I can see where the detail was because it pops out in the camera flash. What's the best way to bring this back to its original glory.
Can I sand blast this thing to remove all the rustic paint? I like saving old things of beauty, and try to bring them back to their glory days. I don't have any experience with stove restorations though.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
