Disneyland has officially filled permits to build its new parking structure, which is part of the Disneyland Forward project announced back in 2024. The garage will be located on the east side of Disneyland, and feature 6,000 parking spaces on its eight levels. Work is scheduled to begin in the fall!

Obviously a parking garage isn’t nearly as exciting as new attractions and hotels, but hopefully this is a sign of what’s to come within the next few decades!

FALCON’S FLIGHT. IS. OPEN!

As is Six Flags Qiddiya City. This HAS to be the most IMPORTANT roller coaster opening since like…Steel Vengeance I guess? I don’t know, Velocicoaster might have something to say about that. Point is Falcon’s Flight is the first height-record-breaking coaster in over 20 YEARS! So insane to finally watch this official POV from Six Flags Qiddiya City. Would love to ride this some day!

Knott’s Berry Farm has brought back the Knott’s Express Trolley! The transportation ride will be at the park for the upcoming “Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration,” which runs on weekends from January 31 to February 22.

The trolley will be home to a traveling musical show that takes place on the car! It’ll make three different stops in the park, so guests can watch the experience in different places.

SpongeBOB is coming to BOBbejaanland!

The Belgian theme park has announced a new Nickelodeon themed area with three new rides: Plankton Power (a SpongeBob themed Wild Swing), Splash Down (a Big WaveZ) and Garfield’s Birthday Surprise (a Family Free Fall Tower themed to, you guessed it, Garfield).

Disneyland Paris has revealed some new details for the resort in 2026!
- The Tower of Terror will get a new covered outdoor waiting area that looks very well themed.
- A new merch location will open near Tower, which will have an Art Deco look similar to the World Premier Plaza.
- Small animal scenes will be added to the Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing in Frontierland.
- The Minnie’s Dream Factory attraction will return February 7 with a new storyline.
- Annette’s Diner in Disney Village will be refurbished to have an expanded kitchen space and a redone dining room.
- The Disney Sequoia Lodge hotel will begin its huge refurbishment that is said to be on a similar level to the previous Disneyland Hotel and Disney Hotel New York: Art of Marvel refurbs.
- The redone Ratatouille ride with new tech upgrades and enhancements, plus a new scene in the queue, will open in 2026.

Of course, this is all in addition to the massive “Disney Adventure World” overhaul of Walt Disney Studios, which will also see a World of Frozen area, a new nighttime show, 14 new dining locations, and a Tangled flat ride. And that’s just in 2026. Future years will see a Lion King log flume and an Up-themed carousel.

Time to start a new coaster tournament! We’re gonna take 64 different coasters from the Six Flags chain and pit them against each other. This will be a pretty big undertaking, mostly because we’ll have mini brackets for each park before the full tournament!

First up is Six Flags Great America. The top 4 coasters will receive a place in the tournament, with the highest seeding going to the winner. Go to our story to VOTE for your favorites!

One of the VERY FEW parks in the Pacific Northwest is closing…that being Wild Waves Theme and Water Park in Federal Way, Washington.

The park announced that the 2026 operating season would be its last, with November 1, 2026 being the last operating day. It’s operated since 1977, and is just the next closure in a growing list of parks that have shut down the past few years. Perhaps there’s still a chance that someone can swoop in and buy it so it can remain open! Otherwise there’s not really many other options for theme park fans in Washington.
