Nuñez continues to lead with 50.5% of the vote (2,248 of 4,784 votes cast) while Hernandez had 33.06% (1,472 votes) and third-place Elias Gonzales 15.75% (701) as of Friday afternoon. The next update from the Santa Cruz County elections office is expected at 4 p.m. Monday.
