Mews for the week. Did a private house party at an undisclosed location in San Francisco this weekend. Brought out the whole system—sound, lights, lasers, visuals, projectors. We turned that garage in to a real 80s prom. Except with no teenage angst. (Well maybe a little bit).

DanceGiving was really fun. Quite a nice night for this time of year. While I’ve been doing video for about 5 years, this was the first time I’ve ever beamed fake turkeys on a museum. Much thanks to my pals at for the invitation.

Today is DanceGiving at Abbot Square! I’ll be VJing along with the elite crüe of DJs/VJs at , for the last hurrah of the season. Do your Black Friday shopping then get down here from 5:30 to 10. Gonna be fun.

I have personally supervised legions of virtual cats and dogs to collaborate in this. I promise it’s unprecedented, and possibly un-ethical, lol.

I’m quite pleased to continue my recent domination of the VJ field this Black Friday, right here in Santa Cruz! It’s getting dark early these days, which means we can get busy early. I’m going to be beaming what I personally guarantee to be the cutest videos ever on the MAH at Abbot Square downtown. So there you go, if these are not the cutest videos you’ve ever seen beamed on a museum wall, then sue me!

Just one more from my video set this past weekend. This was a really fun moment, when people were invited to come up on stage and dance. Somehow, I anticipated this and had a cheeky video of zebras line dancing ready to go. This was super funny, and I did notice a lot of people recording videos of it. Credit to the actual dope DJs. and Lucho.

I’ve been doing a lot of videos stuff on twitch for some years now, but recently, I was able to do some video DJing at actual real life shows. It is fun. I always forget to take videos of me doing the videos, but a lot of people were at these shows, and sent in videos through various sources. So I made a little medley of some of the moments. And here that is. It’s short, and it’s my birthday today so you should watch it.

Confirmed, tonight I will be doing visuals on the Heavy Petting Zoo stage. What fun I shall have, doing cute animals and other fun subject matter. No-one expected it, but the cute pet themes were very well received at the Fam Jam festival a few weeks back. So this one will be a new round, but updated for Oakland. Can you feel it?

This past weekend, I had the honor of playing my first music festival, the fabulous Fam Jam, deep in the Santa Cruz Mountain redwoods. And not only did I get to play music, I also got to VJ live for the first time. Both went well. The pic with the raccoon and the record is me VJing some topical content while the amazing plays the musics. “Camping” was quite comfortable in the trailer. The biggest possible thank you goes to the good people of , for putting on great events like this one. I guess it could go without saying that I didn’t take a lot of pictures and was more focused on the experience than immortalizing it for the Internet.

When last we left our hero, I said there was too much stuff in the studio. This is more true now than ever. It was super fun to be able to borrow this high-end Pioneer gear for a few days. It was nice to get familiar with the more current equipment. Huge thanks to for the loaner.

The studio is really full these days. Even though I’m quiet here, there is a lot going on. For the Band, we are working on doing some open mic nights at local venues. A five minute session is not very much, so you have to nail it. Plus, I’ve been learning to use the modern technology in terms of pioneer gear. You can see I bought a cheapo pioneer controller so I could learn rekordbox (what a POS). I’ve also been moving the visual show from my super computer onto the new laptop. That took about a week longer than expected. And lastly, I am DJing and DJing at my very first festival at the end of the month. Fam Jam, here I come!
