A description straight from the man himself:

"LINE TIME with DWJ will be a free, 16 page zine addition to the ART OF DWJ Kickstarter! Inside will have drawings of each of the art supplies I use to make my comics and illustrations, along with commentary for each tool describing how I use them. I’m so pumped for this!"

The Horror Art of Bruce Timm is Coming!

After many months of working with Bruce, we got this title done and sent to the printer just over a week ago. Bruce was very active in every aspect of its production. He wrote commentary for almost every spread and we designed it together. It is such a great book! We will have it here in our warehouse in late-October for the spooky season. We’ll let you know once this collection is available for pre-order.

I had a nice long talk with our pal, Gary, yesterday. Besides talking about the release of our Hellboy: Into the Silent Sea, The Making of the Comic Revealed book release in September, we reignited our discussions about three books that we've been wanting to do together for years. Producing new books is a slow process. But rest assured, we have some exciting new Gianni projects coming out in the future.

Our Flesk books are distributed to the trade by Publishers Group West/Ingram. The amazing people at PGW/Ingram provide our books to online and physical stores worldwide. The top three sellers to bookstores over the last 7 months are Portfolio by Mark Schultz, Xenozoic by Mark Schultz, and Franklin Booth: Silent Symphony by Alice Carter and John Fleskes.

It’s a pretty great feeling to see classic art doing so well out in the bookstores! Our stock for Portfolio and the Franklin Booth books are getting low. We’ll have to make a decision about reprinting at some point. Thanks to everyone for picking up a Schultz and Booth book!

Wendy and Richard do not have a table at Comic-Con. They will be signing at the Dark Horse Comics booth ( #2615) Thursday July 24 at 11:00 am and Friday July 25 at 10:00 am. They will also be signing at the Prism Comics booth ( #2144) Saturday at 11:00 am and Sunday at 12:30 pm.

Also, do not miss the “Queer Eye on ElfQuest” panel moderated by Andy Mangels. Some big news will be announced!

We added an absolutely awesome new bonus item to our Art of Daniel Warren Johnson Kickstarter campaign. Each book pledge (one per backer) will come with Line Time with DWJ!

Dan is currently working on a new cover (a thumbnail is shown), and a series of interior drawings of his art tools found in his studio. He is also writing commentary that will give you insight into the tools that he uses and how each is applied to make his dynamic drawings. We are working on this chapbook now and will share more details as we get it done. We are very excited to bring this additional bonus item. This is our way of showing our appreciation to you for helping to make this campaign so successful.
