Music friends and community, we have been struggling with a quandary as of late.
After reading the TOS for Spotify, we realized there was some extremely suspicious langue in it.

At this point it seems just one more reason to abandon Spotify as music creators.

Sooo we wanna open the conversation to the larger community. Anyone with more contract and legal knowledge able to explain what seems like a horrible 1950s music contract.

We have not been able to find much information about this online, except with the TOS changes for Spotify audiobooks, which states the same as the music one.

This seems to be a huge AI data collection scheme.
As far as we know creating derivative works is protected under copyright, which means you would have to be credited at the very least. This contract removes any recourse for a creator who has had their works reimagined and then owned by a company like Spotify.
