To our valued supporters, partners, and the New Mexico hip hop community,
It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of this year’s New Mexico Hip Hop Awards. After much consideration and with a heavy heart, we have made the difficult decision not to move forward with this year’s event, including the announcement of nominees and winners.
As a small nonprofit organization, we have relied on the generous support of local sponsors and significant contributions from our board members to make the awards show possible in past years. These resources have enabled us to celebrate and honor the incredible talent and creativity that thrives within New Mexico’s hip hop scene. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen financial constraints, we are unable to secure the necessary funding to produce the event this year.
We understand how important this event is to our artists, fans, and supporters, and we share in your disappointment. We are a small team with a dedicated but limited board of directors, and this year, we simply could not overcome the obstacles that arose.
We want to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who has supported the New Mexico Hip Hop Awards—our artists, our sponsors, our volunteers, and our community. Your passion and commitment to the New Mexico hip hop culture has been the driving force behind the success of this initiative, and we remain deeply grateful for all you have done.
Although we will not be hosting the awards show this year, our commitment to supporting local hip hop talent remains unwavering. We are already exploring new ways to uplift and showcase the vibrant hip hop community in New Mexico and hope to return in future years with a fully supported awards event.
