Paisagens II is a collection of melodic landscapes inspired by Rio de Janeiro's coastal and lake regions. Where the dense atlantic forest fades into white sand beaches lies an ecosystem of lakes and sandbanks, a seaside silhouette of peninsulas and restingas. Big bodies of salty and sweet water intertwine, creating an atmosphere in between the shallow calmness of mangroves and the deep horizon of the dark blue ocean: at once heavy, humid and ethereal. Rocky islands emerge on the sea, evocating immemorial geological and hydrographic times, portuguese and tupi-guarani names evoke the bittersweet marks left by history upon these land masses and water bodies.

The second release in the Paisagens series and first full-length release by Gabriel Jacobina Marques follows the "Paisagens" EP style, deepening the artist's proposal of an immersive but melodic type of ambient music.
