PLEASE SHARE w LEADERS in HEALTH CARE :: In a bid for a poet laureate position, Emmy-winning poet Todd Boss seeks a healthcare industry partner to accelerate an emerging alternative therapy modality that turns client stories into meaningful poetry as demonstrated on his podcast There's a Poem in That (TAPIT). Poetry is powerful medicine. Todd envisions a future in which "clinical poets" across the world are serving individual clients with custom therapeutic services that give poetic meaning to their lives. TAPIT's free 808 number is ringing with strangers in need of such services, and every episode of TAPIT ends in revelatory tears that prove the concept. Endorsed by the National Association of Poetry Therapists and a member of the National Organization for Arts in Health, TAPIT has big plans for 2025 that include continued use of its Pop-Up Poetry Therapy Clinic and rollout of its spinoff "Bureau of Custom Poetry" that has enrolled major American poets ready to listen x 3 hours and respond to client needs on a contractual fee-for-service basis. Obama's inaugural poet Richard Blanco was a guest on TAPIT episode 7 and called it "one of the most rewarding experiences" of his career. Guests have ranged from trauma victims to stroke survivors and from Ulysses syndrome to grief recovery. An upcoming Dallas clinic event will position poets in exam rooms. TAPIT is looking for leading innovators in health care to invest, codify, measure, evaluate, and champion at SXSW and top forums around the world.
