What does your heritage mean to you in the workplace?

As a Salvadorian-Mexican, I’ve always felt proud of the vibrant culture, traditions, and stories that shaped me, and I wanted to bring that energy into Lionsgate. Joining the Colectivé Board felt like the perfect opportunity to connect with others, celebrate our heritage, and create spaces where our fun, diverse culture could be shared and appreciated. I also saw it as a chance to meet new people across the company and help build a community that’s inclusive, joyful, and empowering. -Evelyn

What do Latino Heritage and History mean to you?

My Latin American heritage is like an invisible thread that subtly ties me back to the place I call home. I want to avoid generalizations, so I'd describe it as a culturally ingrained sentiment that frames how I move through the world. To me, Latin America is a place of extremes where contradictions coexist rather than collide. There's laughter amid uncertainty, beauty in decay, and joy besides hardship. Somehow, even with so little, the people who live within this offbeat rhythm are some of the happiest people I know. This heritage means the world to me because it's a quiet lesson on seeing things as imperfectly perfect. Every time I visit Latin America, I learn this all over again, and I hope I'll never tire of doing so. -Henry

To me, "Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future" is about recognizing the sacrifices and traditions that shaped who we are while also taking responsibility for what comes next. Honoring the past means recognizing the sacrifices my family made to build new opportunities and carrying forward the values of resilience and hard work that they passed down to me. Inspiring the future means using that heritage as fuel to push forward, to create opportunities for others, and to show the next generation that our culture should not just be remembered but celebrated! Overall, it serves as a reminder that I'm not just a product of those who came before me, I'm also a bridge to those who will come after me. -Danyelle
