What does Jewish American Heritage Month, honoring more than 350 years of contributions and resilience, mean to you?

After 350 years of contributions and resilience from the Jewish people, Jewish American Heritage Month is a time I recognize and appreciate both the successes and struggles that the Jewish community has faced and overcome. Resilience is one of the most prominent words that comes to mind when describing the spirit of the Jewish people and I feel incredibly grateful every day to be part of a community that has made profound contributions to society. Cultural traditions and identity continue to shape and enrich Jewish American society today—and I use this as motivation to practice and carry those values forward for generations to come. - Rachel

How has your heritage or identity shaped your perspective or work?

A big part of AAPI Heritage Month is honoring the resilience of people who moved to the U.S. to build a better life. As a child of immigrants, I carry that courage with me in everything I do. Their sacrifices taught me to value opportunities, try new things, and face challenges with curiosity and determination.
