BIG NEWS AT ELEVEN!! 🤘🚨 🎧
After more than a decade of friendship, collaboration, and 2x Dodger’s World Series, we’re welcoming AJ Murillo back to the studio—this time as Partner alongside Jeff Payne and Jordan Meltzer.
AJ began his career here at Eleven as an intern in 2010. Jeff trained him as he rose through the ranks. Jordan joined as an intern in 2014… AJ trained him similarly… circle of interns. Hakuna Matata 🦁
Since then, AJ’s bopped around audio post shops and built an award-winning career mixing / sound designing for global brands. His latest work includes Levi’s x Beyoncé, WhatsApp with Benedict Cumberbatch and Viola Davis, and Reebok x Cardi B—alongside countless other culture-shaping campaigns.
Jordan Meltzer:
“It was my first day as an Eleven intern - terrified, excited, and everything in between… I walk into the machine room and AJ is in the back working on a guitar. He sees one of my tattoos poking out of my shirt and asks me what it means. Before I can answer, he says ‘all good, I’ve got a bunch of s**tty tattoos too.’ I laughed, he kinda didn’t, but I had a feeling we would become good friends.”
Jeff Payne:
“Nearly 9 years ago, after climbing the not-so-corporate ladder at Eleven, AJ left our nest and flew off to continue his ascent as a supersonic sound mixer. I felt like a proud papa witnessing his mixer career skyrocket. And… he knows how to fix guitars. Big bonus skill. Could not be more thrilled to welcome AJ back to Eleven.”
We are stoked to be bringing back our cool uncle who loves punk rock, rides a motorcycle, and happens to also be an unbelievable mixer and sound designer.
AJ, we welcome you with open tattooed arms and a s**t ton of guitars that could use some AJ love!
