My morning non-negotiables: the 5 S’s!

I used to overcomplicate my mornings, trying to do everything perfectly. Now? I focus on these five habits that I actually stick to.

Steps & Sunlight – I get outside first thing, even if it’s just a short walk. I love to listen to a podcast while I walk and listen while I drink my coffee. Some days I grab them out, but most days I’ll bring a cup or another drink from home!

Skincare – I see taking care of my skin is taking care of myself. I love that it’s a little moment of quiet before the day really starts and it’s so fun to put a little eye mask on and make it something you look forward to.

Supplements – Filling in the gaps so my body has what it needs!

Strength – Some form of movement! Some days it’s just a walk of my body needs it, but more often than not it’s a run or a strength training session! Lately I’ve gotten back into workout classes and that’s been super fun.

5. Sustenance - at least 30g of protein at breakfast (trust me it’ll change your life!)

17 mile long run vlog!! We are only 8 weeks out from & I’m getting so excited! Had a tough start mentally but I got out there and did it and ended up having a gorgeous run this morning! I just feel thankful every single day that I run by the water. Happy long run day!!

While you see so many people committed to shrinking themselves down as much as possible, let’s focus on being strong. Being powerful. Being ourselves!!

I used to think hitting goals meant pushing harder. Eating less. Ignoring tiredness and calling it “determination.” I thought discipline was doing more, even when my body was clearly asking for less.

But the more I learn, the more obvious it becomes:
Nothing good comes from treating yourself like an enemy you’re trying to control.

The strongest runs come from being fed.
The fastest progress comes from being rested.
Real health comes from fueling, lifting, stretching, sleeping, and giving your body more than the bare minimum!!

I’m realizing that accomplishing anything meaningful means taking care of myself in every sense of the word. Not punishing myself into results, but supporting myself into them.

No matter what your goal is (a marathon, strength, confidence, health) you don’t get there by tearing yourself down.
You get there by treating yourself like someone you love.

That’s the whole point. That’s the work.🤍

My morning lineup for marathon training with PCOS!

Keeping energy steady, hormones balanced, and recovery actually working has become a non-negotiable for me. If it supports strong miles, stable blood sugar, and a happier cycle…it earns a spot.

Lately I’ve been leaning into:
- clean protein
- hormone balance
- minerals + electrolytes
- blood-sugar balance
- strong hair skin and nails!

It’s less about “doing more” and more about finding what really works.

This year shifted something in me. In running, in fitness, in how I care for my body… it all felt a little more grounded, a little more intentional. I’m really proud of the way I showed up for myself — even on the days it felt slow, messy, or anything but “perfect.”

I’m excited for 2026. For more miles, more movement, and the quiet little moments that make it all feel meaningful. Grateful I get to bring you along for every step.

So yes… I made a “Spotify Wrapped” for my workouts this year. And honestly? It made me smile.

This year was a BIG shift for me. In running, in fitness, in how I care for my body. I’m really proud of the way I showed up for myself this year, especially on the days it felt hard, impossible, or anything but “perfect.”

I’m excited for 2026. For more miles, more movement, and the quiet little moments that make it all feel meaningful. Grateful I get to bring you along for every step!!
