Listened to Friday's broadcast about the Alito leak. With such an obviously explosive topic, I was expecting fireworks. LRC stayed true to form by being a civilized place to discuss this issue. Tim Carney, I couldn't disagree with you more, but you presented your side well and with conviction. If only the rest of the Republican Party was like you!
Pretty dang funny that the only person on the panel today who is anti-abortion is also... a man. Shocking.
My wife and I have rarely missed an episode since moving to LA in 2015, and we just wanted to let you know how much we like David Green as the host.

Personally, as a center he does a great job of guiding a very productive conversation, gently holding guests' feet to the fire regarding claims they make, adding a bit of humor and congeniality to the coversations, and his rants are solid.

Our vote is for him to be the next permanent host of the show!
Guys I couldn’t feel more strongly against what you shared tonight on KCRW at 8 PM. I don’t think it’s morally wrong for everyone to pay taxes. With all due respect, a lot of families that are struggling to put food on the table may also tend to have up-to-date iPhones, satellite tv and a pretty nice car. I think prioritizing and making good choices is also a part of this equation. Having been in families that perhaps don’t prioritize the right things, I do not agree that it’s a moral issue. Everyone should pay in and feel the pull. Additionally, Venice Beach is struggling intensely. The encampments, the homeless, the filth is off the charts. As it is in my neighborhood in Van Nuys California, where we have entire parks and parking lots that have become encampments. The cities have been declining as taxes (property especially have increased). As I pay more into a system that i get less from, it’s frustrating. I recall a young women who worked in a doctors office. She illegally collected WIC, her husband worked under the table and collected govt unemployment. And she knew it was wrong but felt like “oh well, it’s there” and all while texting on a nicer iPhone than I had. I guess I’m more right than left and certainly think I’m in the center. Thanks for the voice
While still missing Josh, thank you so much for thinking of David Greene! If anyone can keep things going, it's him.
How did you guys totally ignore the Jan 6 revelations on this week's show? Seems like it's the biggest news of the week.
It is not a good thing when it is obvious your show is based upon old news (pre-recorded) and does not address issues in a timely manner.

1. No discussion of the Rittenhouse verdict (not guilty on all counts).

2. The recommendation for the booster is now extended to to all adults who are 6+ months out from their second shot...
Last week's episode, Bad News can be Good News, talked about daycare subsidies and missed the mark in my opinion. The suggestion that the policy picks winners and losers and maybe parents should just receive direct funds leaves out two considerations. A - just handing out money to parents does not ensure that it will be spent on productive expenses that benefit children or society. B - parents who have low incomes have to choose between working outside the home and having daycare. Since they do not make that much, they end up staying home since all the money they make will go to childcare. This means they cannot work their way up to higher-paying jobs, which perpetuates the cycle of poverty.

Love the show. I am center-left, but would like to hear a stronger conservative voice like Rich Lowery provided.
Hahaha... wow, between Liz's rant about sexy Halloween last week and Tim's about long hair today... I feel like I'm back in Catholic school. Lighten up, y'all.
What's tanking President Joe Biden 's approval rating? KCRW's Left Right and Center discuss if they think it was inevitable or just a PR problem:
Please no more Gustavo Arellano 🙏
Today’s guests — Liz Bruenig and Ross Douthat — are both anti-choice Catholic Conservatives. Talk about a self-contained opinion bubble.

Once again, the liberal view is unrepresented on this show
