Not every student walks into the classroom with the essentials they need to succeed. Some need a new pair of shoes; others need eyeglasses, hygiene items, clothing, backpacks, or even assistance during a family emergency. Thanks to DUO Santa Rosa (Do Unto Others), help is available when it's needed most.
In our latest interview, Florida Panhandle Media sat down with Linda Sanborn of the DUO program to discuss how this local 501(c)(3) nonprofit works directly with school principals throughout Santa Rosa County to provide immediate assistance to students facing critical needs. By placing funds directly into the hands of school administrators, DUO eliminates delays and ensures children receive help quickly and with dignity.
The impact is life-changing—not just for students, but for teachers and administrators who no longer have to reach into their own pockets to help a child in need. Testimonials from schools across the county highlight how DUO has provided everything from emergency clothing and toiletries to athletic equipment, temporary shelter assistance, and other essential resources that help students stay focused on learning.
