Last week Duke completed his 4th week of chemotherapy. Earlier this week, he had an x-ray to reevaluate the mass that was originally found. WELL… it’s no longer detectable on the x-ray 🥹 he’s in remission from lymphoma.

What this means- the chemo is working right now. He will complete the rest of the full CHOP protocol as long as he continues to tolerate it well. Remission could last anywhere from days to years (with an obvious hope that it never comes back). I’ll continue to appreciate and savor every moment I have with him ❤️ Thank you to everyone who shared or donated to his fundraiser. And big thank you to his team of vets, techs, assistants and hospital staff for supporting him (and I) through this.

This week Duke got his 3rd week of chemotherapy. The medication he is temporarily on, is making him feel like he has super powers. I’m so happy to see him full of energy and back to his usual self. Since he’s feeling up for it, he’s been busy getting some extra special treatment. Including, but not limited to…. Lunch meal added to his day, privileges of ordering from the doggy menu at restaurants, and trips to our favorite Pet Food Express for treats toys and extra special loving.

THANK YOU to everyone for your well wishes, prayers, checking in- ALL OF IT! Hoping that he continues to tolerate treatment well and kick cancer in the B***Y 💥

Mitty is 7 months old!! Here is a summary of the past month.
•She’s in her prime of being awkward and very silly
•Her floof is FLOOFIN and just looks like she constantly has bed head
•She loves camping. Her favorite part is watching the ants on the ground and defiantly not trying to snack on them
•Trying to stay on Bella and Dukes good side by keeping their ankles out of her mouth

I’ve debated sharing this, but honestly could use all the prayers, thoughts and positive vibes we could get.
Last week, Duke was diagnosed with aggressive mediastinal lymphoma. I’m crushed. Lymphoma in dogs is not curable. The goal is quality of life and remission (hopefully a long one). Just a few weeks ago, I was making comments at how much energy he’d been having and how crazy he was zooming around. It all changed so fast and I feel like my life has been flipped upside down.
This week, he started the “gold standard” chemotherapy for lymphoma. 3 days post treatment and he’s starting to feel better for now. I’m praying that his cancer responds well to treatment and he can maintain a long term remission. I’d give anything to have more adventures with him 🥺
