A St. Armands Circle Italian restaurant menu is now available in downtown Sarasota, FL.
Le Colonne Restaurant remains closed after last year's hurricanes. Now, a family member has brought staff members on board at her downtown restaurant and is making many of their popular Italian dishes available to diners. Giulia Salustri tells us she has the same people making the fresh pasta and Italian menu in the kitchen at her restaurant Organic Farmer's Table on Lemon Ave. Her family are still working out issues with the landlord and regarding needed repairs to reopen the long time St. Armands dining spot.

Good luck to the Le Colonne family.

The restaurant was reinspection on 7/10 and met inspection standards and was allowed to reopen.

Full inspection reports can be found on the DBPR website.
According to DBPR: "Each inspection report is a “snapshot” of conditions present at the time of the inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term conditions at the establishment."
"Emergency Order Recommended – Conditions have been found that endanger the health and safety of the public requiring immediate closure of the establishment."
"High Priority Violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne illness or injury. High Priority lodging violations are those which could pose a direct or significant threat to the public health, safety, or welfare."
"A 24-hour callback inspection will be performed after an emergency closure or emergency suspension of license. The establishment may reopen only when a division inspection shows that all high priority violations that caused the suspension are corrected.
"Reopening After an Emergency Closure or Suspension

The new sign has gone up at the former Kasa Sushi on North Tamiami Trail.
ICYMI from our post last month, Kasa closed their Tamiami Trail restaurant at the end of May. An application to the Florida DBPR shows the license is being transferred to "Crabbers." A search of records reveals it is connected to another Florida "Crabbers Seafood Boil & Wings" dining spot (2270 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, FL) which appears to only have an IG page, but no website. It also appears, from corporate records, to be connected to a group of similar restaurants called Dummy Crabby as well as
