12 days until our very first trip to VEGAS! 🎰✈️

And if you know me, you already know I wasn’t going to Vegas with basic nails.
😂💅

I told my nail tech to go all in… and I think she understood the assignment! Cards🃏, dice🎲, slots🎰, poker chips, dollar signs 🤑 she absolutely nailed it. ❤️
Now I’m officially in Vegas mode!

A little life update we’ve been keeping to ourselves 🤫

Two weeks ago, our family grew again and we became grandparents for the second time. 🥰

Baby Kairo is here👶🏽, a beautiful little boy, and Alora officially got promoted to big sister.

You probably saw that Alora came to spend a little “vacation” at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. The real reason was so our daughter could have a little time to adjust, rest, and focus on her newborn.

So we went straight into grandparents mode, packed our days with little adventures, made a ton of memories ♥️ and then drove across the state to bring her home and finally meet our newest grandbaby.

There’s something so special about this season of life. We get the cuddles, the giggles, the memories… and then we get to hand them back to their parents. 😂

Feeling very grateful for this growing little family of ours.🌺

25 years later, we remember. 🇺🇸🫶🏼

This morning I went to Nathan Benderson Park here in Sarasota for the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb & Day of Remembrance.

I did NOT go there planning to participate. 😂 I was just there to watch and document the event. Then I felt like I needed to at least do a few climbs.

A few somehow turned into 17 climbs, the equivalent of the 110 stories of one of the Twin Towers.🏙️

And believe me, I took my sweet time. 😂 I stopped. I rested. I ate. I drank. At 7 I thought I was done. Then I told myself, let’s just make it to 10. And once I got to 10… well, there were only 7 left.🤷🏼‍♀️

Somehow, I finished. 🥳

⏱️ 3h 18m
🚶‍♀️ 4.03 miles
⛰️ 1,182 ft elevation gain
🏢 17 climbs / 110 stories

Every time I wanted to stop, I reminded myself why we were climbing and thought about the victims and the first responders who answered the call that day.💔

What I thought would be an event I came to document became an experience I will never forget.✨

In memory of the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001.🙏🏼🕊️

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. Never forget. 🇺🇸

Is getting help really “cheating”?🤨

I’ve seen that word used so many times when people talk about GLP-1s, and I used to understand why people might see it that way.

But going through this journey myself has completely changed my perspective.🤷🏼‍♀️

Medication isn’t doing every part of this for me. I still work on my nutrition, movement, strength, hydration and the habits I want to maintain long-term. 💪🏻But I’m also incredibly grateful to have another tool supporting me.

I’m losing stubborn fat, I’ve noticed less puffiness, and most importantly, I feel so much better in my own skin. 🤍

For Round 2, I partnered with SHED 💙. If you want to learn more about the program I’m personally using, you can find the details on my profile or in the first comment and use Vanessa100 for $100 off your first month.

What do you think: is accepting medical support “cheating,” or is it simply using the tools available to you?

⚠️This post reflects my personal experience; individual results vary. It is for informational purposes only and is not medical advice. GLP-1 medications require evaluation and a prescription from a licensed healthcare provider.

Apparently I “took the easy way out.” 🤷🏼‍♀️

But my version of the “easy way” still involves weighing my food, learning portions, tracking my macros, making sure I get enough protein, building balanced meals, walking, working out when it’s hard and slowly building habits I actually want to keep.🤜🏻🤛🏼

And there’s another little win people don’t see: I used to be TERRIFIED of needles. Now being able to do this myself feels like progress all on its own. 🥹

It didn’t do the work for me. It gave me a tool to help me do the work.🥰

I’m partnering with Shed ♥️ for this part of my journey. If you’ve been curious whether it could be an option for you too, there’s a quick quiz you can take to see if you may be eligible, and my community can get $100 off the first month. You can find the Shed info through my profile and the link 🔗 in the 1st comment.

10 years living in the US 🇺🇸and Walmart is STILL teaching us things 😂

We just discovered that when you’re looking for something in the aisle, you can use the Walmart app to make the price tag FLASH so you can spot it faster 🤯

The amount of time we’ve spent staring at shelves looking for one tiny product… 😭

Did you already know this?! 👇

My first real Primark experience… happened in Orlando. 🇫🇷➡️🇺🇸😂

Funny enough, even though I’m French, I had never actually shopped at Primark in France! 🤷🏼‍♀️ It opened there after we moved to the US, but for years I kept hearing friends and family talk about it. And when we finally went back to France, let’s just say… Primark wasn’t exactly the priority. 🫣

So imagine my excitement when we were spending two days in Orlando for a soccer game and realized that the new Primark at Vineland Premium Outlets was having its GRAND OPENING the very same day. 🛍️

Patrick may have regretted coming with me somewhere around minute 3 😂… but I had so much fun discovering the store and finding some seriously good deals.

And somehow I walked out with 18 items for about $135 around $7.50 per item!

I understand the Primark hype now. 😂

Have you been to Primark before? Tell me what you always shop for there because I already feel like I need another trip.

Round 2 feels different. ✨Not because I did everything wrong the first time but because I learned SO much along the way....

Round 2 feels different. ✨

Not because I did everything wrong the first time but because I learned SO much along the way.

This time, I’m looking beyond the number on the scale. I’m focusing more on my overall health, building habits I can actually maintain, living my life along the way, and giving myself a little more grace 🫶🏼 when progress isn’t perfectly linear.

And one of the biggest changes? Having the right support around me. 🤗That’s one of the reasons I chose SHED for Round 2.

✨ If you’re curious about the program I’m personally using, you can find all the details on my profile + save $100 on your first month (Link in comment).

Now I want to hear from YOU:

If you could talk to Day 1 you, what’s ONE thing you wish you knew before starting your journey? 👇🏼
