We are Mike and Tracey from Sarasota, Florida, USA. We’ve decided to “live” around the world! � � Follow us at flipsidetreks.com. We are not the touristy type.

We have decided to take a sabbatical from our work and “live” around the world. Mike is taking a break from management consulting and Tracey is taking a break from work in finance. We are living life with the freedom to learn, travel and follow our passions…where ever that may lead us. We launched our first 18 month around the world adventure in New Zealand for 4 months, then on to Australia, Thai

land, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. We have explored some of South America including Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. A second loop around the world included a 3,000 km bike ride across New Zealand, then to Tasmania, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Denmark, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungry and Portugal. Much 2019 was spent in seven African countries, with two months in or near Cape Town, South Africa. We like to get entrenched in different cultures, new ideas, new people and new lands…and learn how the locals live. We think this is a most rewarding part of traveling. Previously, we have traveled to over 25 countries and have now travelled to or lived in over 50. We witnessed an incredible "Fireworks on Steroids" display from the Danube River in Budapest last night as part of their St. Stephen's Day celebration! It included music, narratives and an incredible drone show...albeit we had some difficulty understanding all the Hungarian language narrative 😊😊.

Apparently largest fireworks display in Europe.

St. Stephen's Day celebrates the establishment of the State and its more than 1000 year-old history - honoring Hungary's very first King, Saint Stephen.

The video covers the entire 30 plus minute show..perhaps play it on a large screen and enjoy!

The Red Center…

The red center… landscapes of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, in the Northern Territory of Australia. Home to both Uluru and Kata Tjuta. It is located 1,943 kilometres south of Darwin by road and 440 kilometres south-west of Alice Springs along the Stuart and Lasseter Highways.
