Rest in peace to Dolly Parton, a truly good human being and the OG childless cat lady!

Dolly was so many wonderful things, including a lifelong animal rescuer and advocate for animal preservation.

Life is meaningless if you don’t have a purpose.

Before I found my purpose to advocate for the lives and safety of the Jewish community worldwide, I had found my purpose to rescue senior and medical needs animals.

Dolly donated over 100 million books for children’s literacy.
She was a huge supporter of the LBGTQ+ community, including same s*x marriage and trans rights.
And she donated over $1 million to help fund the development of the Moderna drug to prevent Covid.

I’m no expert on her music or on country music in general, but I have always admired her as a kind person, and the world needs so many more Dolly Partons.

Imagine all of the acts of kindness that she did that we may never know about?

After seeing my parents this weekend, I’ve been thinking that I don’t really have a house to come home to any more since they moved last year. It happens to everyone. I’m grateful that I have them, and I will never take a day for granted, but I’m homesick. I know that they are too.💔

The closest I will get to the U.K. any time soon, sadly.

📍 The Ambleside Pub - an award winning pub in Mt. Kisco, NY.

I haven’t been there yet, but I’ve heard the fish and chips are as authentic as in the U.K. That I will have to try- because I only eat fish and chips abroad!

It’s been a really lovely few days off Cape visiting my family. I’ve really missed my parents! That’s the hardest part of living where I live.

An important goodbye at 51…

GOODBYE TO WASTING MY TIME AND MY HEART ON MEN WHO DON’T DESERVE IT.

For my entire adult life, I have dated or been in relationships with narcissists who have taken and taken and taken.

When I got back from Florida this past season, I compared myself to a piñata: busted open with no emotions left inside.

This is the first summer (with the exception of the summer after Victor died), that I have not been in a relationship/dating or looking to date.

AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE AT PEACE.

I am focusing on some major goals, and on my purposes in life, and I am done with wasting my energy on people who I get absolutely no return on investment from. And that does not apply just to men.

So goodbye to settling. Goodbye to hoping someone will change. Goodbye to hoping he’ll call or text. Goodbye to chasing after someone who doesn’t want to be chased. Goodbye to giving and not getting. Goodbye to the hurt that goes with it over and over. Goodbye to all of the time wasted.

I’ve put it in writing.

I’ve never owned a short sleeved cardigan before, have you?

When I saw this Alice Walk cardigan, I was completely smitten.

I did not do a “Friday, I’m in Love” post because I was too traumatized by the Central Synagogue attack.

Last night’s attack at Central Synagogue showed us how easy it is for an unarmed terrorist/antisemite/Jew hater/lunatic/anti-Zionist or whatever you want to call him/them to enter a service and attack a person for being Jewish.

I don’t know this woman’s name, and it doesn’t matter.

I can tell you this for certain:
She has not committed genocide and is not a baby killer.
Nor has or is any other person in that synagogue.
Nor have or am I.
Nor has or is any other Jew n America.
Nor in Europe.
Nor anywhere else in the world.

Not one person can explain how Hamas killed and held Jews hostage for two years, yet we are all baby killers and genocide committers?

Fight back. Stop staying silent. Whether you are a Jew or not.

We need you to stop as****es like this.
Change starts with the people.
