And that’s a wrap!!! Thank you so much to our wonderful staff and student writers who have made this year so special. We couldn’t do this without your hard work and tireless efforts.

Thank you, too, to our readers. Your support makes our work possible.

The past year has seen major changes and institutional upheaval, for Skidmore, nationally, and globally. As we reach our 100th year of publication, we’re reminded more than ever why reliable and trustworthy news is needed. Living in this period of uncertainty, we’re grateful for the opportunity to share important truths and uphold freedom of speech at the undergraduate level.

We hope you have an amazing summer, and we look forward to continuing our work as the Skidmore Campus Authority in the coming academic year.

In the last few months, the Trump Administration has carried out massive deportation efforts against people deemed “illegals aliens.” Deportation sites have included Guantanamo Bay, a highly controversial prison first opened in 2002 under the Bush Administration, and the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT) — both known for their use of physical and psychological torture.
