Adam and Megan met in Syracuse in 2020 while she was working the front desk at her PA school gym and he was a medical student who always seemed to schedule his workouts during her shifts. After weeks of small talk during COVID sign-ins, he asked her out and the rest fell into place.

In 2023, they moved to Portland, Maine for Adam’s urology residency, where Megan now works in cardiology at the same hospital. Adam proposed at sunset on their local beach after a private dinner on Great Diamond Island, using a diamond passed down from his grandmother.

While they’ve built their life in Maine, they knew they wanted to come home to New York for their wedding. Megan grew up in Rochester and spent years visiting Adam’s family in Queensbury, making Lake George the perfect place to say “I do.” They were married by Adam’s childhood priest at Sacred Heart Church and celebrated at The Carriage House at Fort William Henry with stunning mountain and lake views. The weather was perfect, everything ran smoothly, and they danced with family and friends until 3 AM.

Jenna and Zack’s story began long before they officially met. While living in Rochester, they unknowingly shared the same apartment building, the same gym, and even the same hairdresser. Back in 2017, Jenna would quietly complain about someone always taking the best parking spot in their lot, never realizing it was her future husband. It wasn’t until 2021 that their mutual hairdresser, Heather, finally introduced them, knowing they would be a perfect match.

From the start, it clicked. Zack’s calm, funny, and caring nature balanced Jenna’s loud and loving personality perfectly. They fell hard, and in December 2023, just days after Christmas, Zack proposed at home at 9:30 in the morning. Jenna was in her bathrobe, but it was intimate and exactly right for them.

Although they built their life together in Rochester, Jenna always knew she wanted to be married in Saratoga. They chose the historic Canfield Casino for its charm, location, and summer beauty. After exchanging vows in Congress Park, they celebrated surrounded by family and friends in a place that has always meant so much to them.

I finally had a minute to sit down and do this COVER post!! (sorry it’s so late!). I always have such a hard time choosing the cover, I mean, EVERY bride is beautiful and you can’t go wrong with any location (or season!) in Upstate NY.

But how lucky was I to have THIS bride – during our 20th Anniversary Celebration! – performing that beautiful dance, while blissfully smiling at her husband and having her parents looking on??!!

In case you don’t know… Aubrey’s parents own Compliments to the Chef and her father John Reardon has been a contributor of ours for years!

Meaning we’ve been hearing about this family for ages… I almost felt like I had been invited to the wedding and I could feel the love within this family!

Alyssa and Nicholas met in the fall of 2017 on Hinge and instantly bonded over buffalo chicken. What started with a great first date at a wine garden quickly turned into something lasting. Since then, they’ve built a life filled with laughter, travel, and time with their beloved pup, Paddington.

After a surprise proposal at The Sagamore in Lake George, they planned a classic and intimate celebration at The Gideon Putnam. With Nantucket inspired blue and white details, lush hydrangeas, and a packed dance floor, their day was elegant, joyful, and deeply personal. Instead of traditional cake, they treated guests to a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart, a sweet touch that felt perfectly them.

Mary and Brad’s story started with a bold first date in New York City. After three attempts, Brad finally secured dinner and a magic show at the McKittrick Hotel, a three hour commitment for a first meetup. What was meant to be one evening turned into something unforgettable. Between candlelit dinner, rooftop cocktails, and a speakeasy show, their connection was instant. At one point, Brad even broke his chair during a magic trick, but his easygoing reaction only made Mary like him more. It was the kind of first date that felt like a final act.

They dated for six years, navigating some long distance during COVID and eventually building a life together in Saratoga in 2022. Along the way, they added their beloved dog, Pippa. In 2024, Brad proposed in Aspen at the Maroon Bells with breathtaking mountain views.

By July 25, 2025, they were saying “I do” in Saratoga, the place they now call home. They exchanged vows in the Italian Gardens in Congress Park and celebrated at the Canfield Casino surrounded by friends and family who traveled from across the US and around the world. From custom newspapers as ceremony programs to an espresso martini moment on the dance floor, every detail reflected their personality. It was a magical summer weekend and the perfect beginning to their next chapter.

Victoria and Matthew met in college in 2014 through a mutual friend and quickly became part of the same close knit group. They spent most of their free time together, and although Matt had a crush early on, Victoria always saw him as a close friend. Even after graduation, they stayed in touch and maintained a long distance friendship.

In 2020, their bond deepened and Victoria realized her feelings had grown into something more. After some hesitation about risking their friendship, they officially started dating in April 2021. It quickly became clear it was the best decision they could have made. In February 2023, Matt proposed in New Orleans, the same city where they had defined their relationship. Later that year, they moved to Florida together as Matt began medical school.

With Victoria from Syracuse and Matt from Long Island, they chose the Capital Region as the perfect middle ground for their June 28, 2025 wedding. The Edison Downtown in Schenectady was the ideal venue to gather their loved ones in one place. From asking the friend who introduced them to officiate, to hosting a science themed welcome party at MiSci, every detail reflected their story. It was a day filled with meaning, love, and the people who helped shape their journey.
