PRESS RELEASE: FATAL ACCIDENT-MEDICINE BOW NATIONAL FOREST
On the afternoon of Thursday, September 25th, dispatchers with the Carbon County Unified Dispatch Center received a report of a two-vehicle accident involving an ATV and a semi-truck and trailer on Forest Road 443 in the Medicine Bow National Forest.
Deputies with the Carbon County Sheriff's Office, along with first responders from the Encampment Fire Department and South-Central Wyoming Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash.
Sadly, the driver of the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers with the Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to assist with the crash investigation.
The names of the deceased are being withheld at this time out of respect for the family. Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
