Lori Zimmermann is a self-avowed big country music fan and has wanted to see George Strait in concert for many years. Now, she can check this off her bucket list. Not only did Zimmermann get to see George Strait in concert, but she won the tickets along with airfare and hotel to see him perform in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Adopt a Dairy Cow campaign operates with a mission of connecting people with milk and the dairy industry. Efforts between Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin and Sassy Cow Creamery have helped to distribute more milk to families across southern Wisconsin through this campaign.

When Ella Logue was growing up, she questioned why there were hardly any dairy products in her home. The little bit of dairy her family did have was organic.

“My parents were skeptical of how farmers treat their animals,” Logue said. “I was open-minded and told my mom, ‘I want to go find out for myself.’ Since then, I’ve given my parents a lot of proof of how milk is safe, and they’ve completely changed their minds. Now, my dad works at a farm on the weekends. He loves it.”
