What a night! 🌟
We had an amazing time celebrating National Night Out this past Tuesday, August 5th! It was a beautiful evening filled with community spirit, laughter, and connection.

Neighbors came together to enjoy great food, music, games, and fun activities for all ages. From meeting our local first responders to watching kids make new friends, the event truly captured what this night is all about — building stronger, safer neighborhoods together.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, and helped make the night a success. We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up, looks out for one another, and celebrates together. Thanks to our heroes, the Police and Fire Departments, Public Works, the EMTs and ESDA, along with Trustee Sapp, who worked with Lisa Valentine of the Police Department, who worked tirelessly to plan the event. Can’t wait to do it again next year!

R E M I N D E R S

Residents who need to pick up their stickers for trucks are encouraged to purchase them by Friday at 5:00 p.m. to be eligible for the initial discount. After Friday, the full price will be instituted.

Though tomorrow, July 29th, is a fifth Tuesday, and no meeting was scheduled, the Board will reconvene a Special Meeting to consider Budget Reviews for two departments. Residents are welcome to attend, listen to, and provide comments on the process of our procedures for entertaining requested items and projected needs for those departments. It leads to reconvening another meeting of the other departments before we produce the final budget to be presented at the actual Budget Hearing. Though a lengthy process, it has served the Village well for many years in considering adopting a formal budget.

Tuesday, August 5th, is National Night Out. We hope to see many residents out to support this community event, which includes fellowship with our Police, Fire, Emergency Management, and Code Enforcers, and the opportunity to meet your elected officials and neighbors.
