Dr. Jeffrey Mazique is a passionate social activist, currently an internal medicine physician with additional emergency medicine training. Dr. Mazique attended Brown University for his undergraduate studies and Howard University for his medical education. He comes from a family of doctors who believe that the recruitment of underrepresented physicians was vital in empowering communities of color i

n the United States. He held 9 faculty positions have worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, six Native American Reservations, and since the COVID-19 pandemic has been treating patients in the Sault Ste Marie Community in upstate Michigan and often referred to as “the COVID DOC.”

When Dr. Mazique isn’t at the clinic combating COVID-19, he mentors premeds and current medical students. Indeed, one of these page’s goals are to allocate resources for his mentees, whether it is to connect them with organizations that empower pre-meds with strategies to optimize their chances of getting into medical school!
