Good Morning ! A mix of sun and clouds today with a slight chance for some coastal showers. Remember, there's a high rip current risk along the coast today so be cautious if you head to the beach.

Not as humid today, but sticky conditions return next week.

Over the weekend, OU Nightly Tracking the Storm was awarded a Collegiate Emmy, referred to formally as a Student Production Award. I am honored to have been a part of a team that worked so hard to bring accurate and timely information about severe weather to the OU and Norman community. Last February, OU Nightly went “wall to wall” for severe weather for the first time and again a few months later in April. Our severe weather special highlighted that coverage and also gave viewers a chance to learn about types of severe weather, research being done and ways to stay safe.

Thank you to the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for this honor and thank you to the whole team who worked so hard on this special.
