We have a brand new pressing of Peregrine by available at graveface.com and graveface.bandcamp.com today. This colorway is exclusive to our websites. Why is this release so important to me?
In August of 2024, the band asked us to press this for them and we of course jumped at the opportunity. Around the same time my good friend and Graveface graphic designer became even sicker with cancer he had been battling for years. He got 95% done with the Peregrine layout and tragically passed away on November 13th, 2024. Ryan was one of the greatest people I’ve ever known and this world has been so much darker without him. It took us a while to pick back up and finish the layout on this album as it’s Ryan’s final project with us so I was dragging my feet. So, this LP reissue is dedicated to one of the best friends I ever had. I miss Ryan every day and Graveface and the world will never be the same without him. F**k cancer. Be nice to each other. Tell the people you care about how much they mean to you as much as possible.

25 years ago today I launched Graveface with GRAVE001, The Sickening Pang of Hope Deferred by Dreamend (me). Quite the pretentious concept and title this album was based on Dante’s Inferno and is a tough listen. Not because it’s complex, but because it sucks. But without that concept I’m not so sure Graveface would’ve launched into the physical media world. So certainly something good came from it. To celebrate 25 years we’re launching (using my pressing plant) a pretty rad series of releases. More on that soon but it’s some exciting stuff (10 releases specifically). This awesome 25th anniversary art is by . Thank you endlessly to anyone who has supported any of my companies over the past 25 years. I’m doing my best. Happy Halloween.

For the 17th annual (!!) Marshmallow Ghosts LP, I decided to return to the very origins of the project — first dreamt up in 2008, with the debut release following in 2009. Back then, I was living in this idyllic, Halloween-y neighborhood that was wildly inspiring. None of my musical peers were doing anything like it at the time, so the MGs concept just made sense.

To truly “go back to the beginning,” I rented the same little coach house where the idea was first born and filled it with the same dusty, half-broken organs and synths used on those early recordings. Just like in the early days, I consulted the Marshmallow Ghosts’ bible, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark — specifically Volume 3 — for the first time since 2011. Reading it over and over again in that eerie little space surrounded by malfunctioning gear led to “When Death Arrives: Five Nightmares.”

Not gonna lie, starting a vinyl pressing plant with the world’s greatest staff is already one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This week we’ve been working on TECHNICOLOUR BLIND by Tennis System and they look/sound amazing (should ship late next week, preorders up at both graveface.com & graveface.bandcamp.com). Hopefully sometime in October we can start pressing records for other labels but honestly just drowning in Graveface / Terror Vision projects at the moment. Thx for your support and patience! Massive learning curve over here but it’s super fun. ❤️✌🏻
