My Dad went in for back surgery this past week. Do not worry; he is at home recovering. The recovery is proving to be difficult, but my Dad will persevere. Of that, I have no doubt. But it is easy to get low when you are not 100%. While I was on the phone with him yesterday, he said it was our chats that have kept him going. It makes me happy that we have the relationship that we do. That we can have the conversations that, I am sure, at one point when I was younger, seemed so distant to him. A new episode comes out today. Give it a listen if you don't mind. And if you know my Dad, don't hesitate to reach out and see how he is doing.
