I want to take a moment to commend all screenwriters for pursuing their craft in full force. It’s no small feat completing a script, and an even more daunting challenge pressing through rewrites, combing over every line, every letter, searching for perfection. Remember that without you, the brave writers, there would be no film industry — or at least no truly great films. It all begins on the page. Remember that. It begins with you.

Rima Lyn joins the Savannah Screenplay Awards as a judge.

Rima is a screenwriter, script coach, and story analyst whose work has been recognized as a Nicholl Fellowship Quarterfinalist and a Sundance Lab Finalist. She has also written and directed an award-winning short film and previously provided professional screenplay coverage for Island Pictures.

We’re honored to welcome her experience and insight to this year’s evaluation team.

We wanted to take a moment to thank the motivated scriptwriters who submitted their Film & Television works for the Early Submission Deadline. It’s a genuine joy to see the wide breadth of unique ideas alchemized onto the page, and an honor to serve as a growing platform to help these voices be heard. We greatly appreciate you all.

Please bear with us as we make our way through coverage orders and judging! Our intention is to give each submission the full consideration they deserve.

We have also made the decision to extend the Standard Submission deadline from May 15th due to timeline balancing: Beginning March 1st through May 31st, the Standard Submission window is now open. Registration pricing has changed to:

Short Film Scripts: $35
Television Pilot/Episode Scripts: $45
Feature Film Scripts: $55
