Mark your calendars to enjoy an evening of music in downtown Savannah from the Germantown Symphony Orchestra.
Savannah's annual Sunset Symphony will be held at the historic Cherry Mansion, 265 W Main St., on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 5:30 p.m. This is the 36th year to orchestra has performed in the city thanks to the Savannah Arts Commission, which hosts the concert.
The family-friendly concert will feature selections of classical and popular tunes and this year's theme is Strolling Down Broadway- A journey from broadway's start to today.
Open to the public, this free performance is made possible through the efforts of Savannah Arts Commission, the City of Savannah, and with the generous donations of local businesses and individuals supporting the arts.
Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets and gather on the lawn of the mansion near the platform stage.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will move to an indoor location that will be determined at a later date.

The Germantown Symphony Orchestra (GSO), under the direction of Dr. Ronald Vernon, is committed to providing excellent concert experiences for its audiences and members, promoting young artists, and serving the community. The GSO is a volunteer, self-governing, and community-based orchestra.
