The First NBA Player I've ever met was the one who lived in the same neighborhood growing up as a teenager. His #23 is retired along with The X-Man Xavier McDaniels #34 at my old high school AC Flora in Columbia, SC. Congratulations Tyrone Corbin!

Tyrone Kennedy Corbin is a native Corbin Columbia, South Carolina where he play his high school basketball at AC Flora High School and played for and graduated from DePaul University.

Tyrone coached in the NBA for 18 years. He started as a Player Development Coach for the NY Knicks.

• Assistant and head coach with the Utah Jazz
• Assistant and Interim head coach for the Sacramento Kings
• Assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns
• Assistant Coach for the Orlando Magic
• Assistant Coach for the Charlotte Hornets

Prior to that, Corbin played 16 seasons in the NBA.
