📢 KCutz Christmas Community Giveback — Important Announcement
With a heavy heart, I need to share that this year’s KCutz Christmas Community Giveback has been cancelled.
I’ve been promoting the event since summer and doing everything I could to bring it to life, but a few key pieces unfortunately fell through — including the event location, vendor participation, sponsors, and donations (with the exception of Stewart Candy, who I appreciate deeply for stepping up). Without these essentials, there’s simply no way to deliver the kind of experience our community deserves.
This event has always been 100% donation-powered. Every single dollar collected goes right back into toys, bikes, prizes, and everything that makes the day special for kids who need a little extra joy during the holidays.
On top of that, many of you know I was involved in a car accident in August that left me with multiple injuries. It’s been a challenge just navigating everyday life and work — let alone trying to organize a full community event by myself. I’ve pushed as hard as I could, but at this point, the situation is beyond my control.
To everyone who has supported this event in past years: thank you. Your generosity, your time, your heart — that’s what made this event what it was.
I do want to offer one small alternative: if the characters who volunteered to appear are still willing, I’d love to arrange a simple meet-and-greet day at the city park. Kids could stop by, take photos, and pick up a small goodie bag of candy. It’s not the full event we hoped for, but it’s still a moment of holiday joy we can give.
Thank you all for your understanding, your support, and your continued love for this community. I appreciate you more than you know.
