The Savannah Regional Film Commission, a certified Film Commission, is the central point of contact for entertainment production in our region. We promote the Savannah area as a premiere film destination for motion picture, television, and commercial productions. Our office functions as a liaison between film companies and various municipalities in the Savannah region. We provide location assistance and coordination with local crew and support services.

How many of you were there for the dedication ceremony of Taylor Square last year? Well, now the Hindsight Film Festival is bringing the rousing backstory to the big screen, followed by an in-depth conversation with the filmmakers and the stars of the film.

A screening of the documentary "The Making of Taylor Square" at The Otis S. Johnson, Ph.D. Cultural Arts Center will be on Thursday, December 11th. Doors open at 6PM and the screening commences at 7PM.

Alexis Leggett Casting is seeking talent for a non union docufilm, "Helen & Edgar," in Savannah, GA. See roles for rate of pay. Looking for KIDS (Ages 8-12) & "TEENS" (Over 18 to Play Younger).

Forms a tight, almost twin-like bond with his sister Helen and follows his eccentric mother through an unusual, cloistered Southern gothic childhood. Expresses wonder, fear, and yearning. YOUNG HELEN OLIVER (LEAD): 8-12 year old white female. Edgar’s older sister, co-conspirator, protector, and muse as a child. Strong, artistic, nurturing but also craving freedom. Often the ringleader in their fantasies and escape plans. Later becomes a painter living in Italy. Her deep bond with Edgar is the emotional core of the show. Requires warmth, strength, and humor. We are so excited to share that the DOC Savannah short "Art With Every Breath" won the Savannah Spotlight Jury Award at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival this past week!

The club's November Social will be this Sunday, November 9th at 3 PM in the courtyard of Foxy Loxy Print Gallery and Café! Come connect, collaborate, and share stories with Savannah’s vibrant community of documentary filmmakers.

"Art With Every Breath" is available for viewing on the DOC Savannah Youtube and will be screening at Cucalorus Film Festival on November 21st in Wilmington, NC.
